1XV
Ivel 1XV 5   vs  Sherborne 1XV  22  Home - Rowsell Cup.   This game was played in great spirit.  At one point Ivel were down to 12 men for almost 8 minutes but with a tremendous defensive effort managed to prevent Sherborne crossing the line during that time.  Eventually the effort told and Sherborne won.
Ladies
Ivel Ladies 0  vs  St Mary's Old Boys Ladies 20  Away.   Ivel Ladies play their final league game and although defeated, they have had a great season.  Well done Ladies, you have done the club proud.

1XV
Ivel 1XV 33   vs  Swanage and Wareham 2XV  3  Home.   Ivel won this, the last league game of the season by a comfortable margin.  Fantastic season, good coaching and good commitment from players makes all the difference!  Well done all.
Ladies
Ivel Ladies 48  vs  Gordano 22  Away.   Ivel Ladies won their penultimate match of a great season which has really put Ladies rugby firmly on the map in South Somerset.  This result is even better when you consider that some of the team were out celebrating with the men last night!! Massive congratulations to all involved with this great team.
1XV
Ivel 1XV 33   vs  North Dorset 2XV  5  Away.   Ivel continuously attacked the North Dorset Line for the first half but some fantastic and desperate defending by the home side kept them out. Eventually Ivel overcame the defence and in winning the game also won the league title!   Well done all.
U14
U14  Ivel vs Kettering Touring Side.   This was an open flowing game with some great skills on display.  The Ivel side proved far too strong for the tourists.  Pictures on report page.
U9
U9 Ivel vs Midsomer Norton Away.  The U9 played two games with a very depleted squad today.  Thankyou to Midsomer Norton for loaning players.

1XV
Ivel 1XV 41   vs  Westbury  13  Away.   Ivel did not play particularly well and knew they faced opponents trying to get a win at home.  Ivel did win but need to keep up the pressure in the last stages of the season.

U14
U14  Ivel 15   vs  Winscombe 7  Home - Somerset Cup Semi-Final.   This was another thriller, played under floodlights which created a great atmosphere.  It was one of the best matches played this season and Ivel won and now....are in the Final!  Well done all.

1XV
Ivel 1XV 78   vs  Wimborne 2XV 33  Home.   This game started out very strongly for Ivel, but the visitors came back and for a while the outcome was completely unpredictable.  In the second half Ivel started to build and came away comfortable winners.

Ladies
Ladies   Ivel   5   vs  St Mary's Old Boys Ladies  5  Home (Again).   A game in which both teams were competing against the elements as well as each other!  The game was finished early due to the deteriorating conditions.   A couple of pictures on report page.

U14
U14  Ivel 24   vs  Nailsea & Backwell  14  Home Cup.   These two sides both had unbeaten records going into this game so an exciting game was expected, and what a fantastic, freeflowing, fast paced game it was.  Both sides were playing with everything they had and Ivel dug in for the victory.  Well played both teams.

U16
U16  Ivel 12   vs  Taunton 0  Away.   A match which Ivel won, but unfortunately was cut short because of an injury to a Taunton Player.  Ivel wish a speedy recovery to the Taunton player.  Pictures on report page.   Good news - Taunton player suffered a trapped nerve in his back and although sore, is now back on his feet.
U14
U14  Ivel 17   vs  Taunton 7  Away (But at Home!).   The U14 were meant to play this game at Taunton, but because of unplayable pitches it was played at Ivel.   This was a really good game but Ivel were constantly pressuring the Taunton line, particularly in the second half.  Well played both teams.  Pictures on report page.
1XV
Ivel 96   vs  Warminster  0  Home.   This was a surprisingly one sided affair given the tough game when they played previously.  A big score that could have been bigger but for handling errors in the muddy conditions.  Pictures on report page.

1XV
Ivel 78   vs  Oakmeadians II  14  Home.   Wet, muddy and cold conditions meant this was supposed to be a close in hard fought forwards battle.  It turned out to be played at a fast pace with plenty of open running!  Oaks scored towards the end which proved they didn't give up.

U10
U10  Ivel vs  Weymouth  Home.   Two great games of rugby today with all players contributing.  Well played the U10.
1XV
Ivel 14  vs  North Dorset  17  Home.   The slippery conditions played a big part in this game with both sides battling to keep hold of the slippery ball.  An exciting game nevertheless.  Pictures on report page.

U15
Ivel U15  26   vs  Wimborne U15 27   Home.   A thrilling match which was enjoyed by all with the result going Wimborne's way by one point.  The U15 really played well today and were unlucky not to beat a renowned difficult opposition. Fantastic performance lads.   Pictures on report page.
U16
Ivel U16  29   vs  Wiveliscombe U16  0  Cup  Home.   The scoreline of this match does not reflect the play of the visitors who just couldn't convert pressure into points whereas Ivel did so consistently.
U15

Colts
Ivel Colts  31  vs  Castle Cary Colts  10  Away.   Yet another game played in less than ideal conditions.  In the second half Ivel managed to put some good handling and running together which won them the game.
Ladies
Ivel Ladies  31  vs  Gordano Ladies  12  Home.   In absolutely horrendous conditions, these two teams showed the tenacity and courage that would put men's teams to shame.  This was a real "slobberknocker" in the mud and must have drained every ounce of energy these players had.  Full of admiration for both teams...outstanding.
U16
Ivel U16  43  vs  Castle Cary U16  3  Home.   The conditions made for an "interesting" game which Ivel dominated.  Some good running on the firmer, wide areas of the park.
U15
Ivel U15   vs  Sherborne U15  Away.  Pictures from todays game.
U13
Ivel U13  vs  Sherborne U13  Away.   A game which Ivel lost but suffered an injury at the end which required an ambulance.  Happy to report that Kyle Evans suffered heavy bruising and that the injury wasn't worse.   Pictures on report page....including special training session at the end!

2XV
Ivel 2XV  3  vs  Cheddar  32  Home.   A heavy pitch made this a battle of the mud and slippery ball.  It was very difficult to move the ball wide, but when Cheddar did so, they took the chances very well.

U9
Ivel U9 vs North Petherton U9 Away.   Two good matches from the youngsters.  Pictures on report page.
Ladies
Ivel Ladies  47  vs  Westbury Ladies  0   Away.   A stronger performance by Westbury than the previous meeting was still not enough to contain the free running Ivel Ladies who won this match convincingly.
U15
Ivel U15   47   vs  Lytchett MinsterU15   34   Away.   A good match despite the daunting travelling conditions to get there.  Well done for perseverance all.
U16
Ivel U16   50   vs  North Dorset U16   5   Home.   A fantastic performance of open, running flowing rugby from the Ivel team prevented North Dorset gaining any foothold in the game. This is the first time this team have beaten North Dorset. Well done all.

U16
Ivel U16  vs  Sherborne U16   Away.   Pictures from Sundays friendly match away at Sherborne.

1XV
Ivel 52   vs  Bridport  7   Home.   Ivel improved on the previous weeks performance to completely dominate in this top of the table clash.
2XV
Ivel 2XV  0  vs  Burnham on Sea 2XV  22   Away.   Ivel 2nds played some great rugby during this match but the staunch defending of Burnham and failure to find the telling pass meant Ivel were beaten.
U16
Ivel U16  14   vs  North Petherton U16  38   Away.   A hard game against very good opposition was too much for the U16.
1XV
Ivel 21 vs  Warminster 20   Away.   An extremely close game as can be seen by the result.  Ivel maintain their winning streak.
U10

U14
Ivel U14  vs  Bridport U14  Home.   A big thank you to Bridport who travelled to Ivel with a bare minimum "15 players" and played with great spirit. Well done to the Ivel players who assisted the Dorset side with numbers and ensured a great morning of rugby.  Pictures from the match on Sunday.
2XV

Ladies
Ivel Ladies  10   vs  Hornettes   22  Away.  A difficult game for the Ladies with players playing out of position and up against a very experienced side.  A good match.
1XV
Ivel 53 vs  Blandford  31  Home.   A nervy beginning saw the visitors strike first but Ivel built throughout the match with some tremendous play.  The visitors came back strong at the end.
2XV
Ivel 2XV 7 vs Somerton   21  Away.   A depleted 2XV went to Somerton with a number of their players covering the 1XV unavailabilities.  The 2XV made a game of it and it's great that Ivel managed to still put out a team.
