Wells vs Ivel vs Weston-Super-Mare Sunday 5th October 2008 |
| |
Under 7 firstly well done to you all for braving the weather and travelling to Wells RFC.
The day consisted of 2 games with Wells and Weston Super Mare.
The under 7 team is working well as a team with many players having good runs for the try line, also their ball handling skills have come on since last season.
The first game score was Ivel 4 WSM 5. Second game score Ivel 6 Wells 7
Player of the games was Archie Cooke for scoring most of our trys so thanks and keep up the good work

The remaining tries provided by Archie Cooke (1) Harry Haloui (1) and Daniel White (1)
Second game Ivel 6 Frome 7. Tries scored by Archie Cooke (2) Harry Haloui (3) George Smeeton (1)
Thanks also to Frome RFC for hosting the games today.
I hope all who attended enjoyed the day and I look forward to your continued support

Thanks to taunton who bought enough players for 2 teams which enabled us to play 2 games. Ivels turn out was one of the best this season with 10 players
The games were very good with good passing and defence. Tauntons defence was slightly better than Ivels in the games so this made Ivel play the game as a team rather than getting the ball and running with it. overall I'm very happy with the team and hope that it continues.
the scores were first game Ivel 5 Taunton 11 Second game Ivel 8 Taunton 12

Ivel U7 vs Midsomer Norton U7 Sunday 1st February 2009 |
| |
Thanks to Midsomer Norton for bringing their team to a very cold Ivel.
The day consisted of two games with rolling subs for Midsomer Norton as Ivel only produced 6 players.
The games were very even in attack and defence, the first game was won by midsomer 8-7. the second was a draw.
The under 7 are starting to play as a team now, hopefully this will continue and produce some good games
Thanks to all who turned up and helped out on sunday.

Weymouth U7 vs Blandford U7 vs Ivel U7 Sunday 8th March 2009 |
| |
|
| |
Firstly I would like to thank Weymouth RFC for holding the tournament at their ground and thanks to Blandford for bringing a team as well.
The day was bright and sunny and ideal for games of rugby. Ivel fielded a team of 10 players which proved very useful.
The first match was Ivel vs Weymouth, a very fast paced game with lot of good Ivel defence. George scored 9 of Ivel's 12 tries with Archie scoring 2 and Daniel 1.
The final score was Ivel 12 Weymouth 7
Tha second game we changed things round a little and this slowed the flow of the team play. in the second half we returned to the starting 7 and this sorted out the problem. Tries came from George and Daniel
The final score was Ivel 6 Blandford 5
Thanks to all who turned up
Simon
