The second game of the season started slow by the Ivel U13’s squad, which gave Warminster a lead of 2 tries and 1 conversion. Ivel began to pick up the pace in the latter part of the first half, clawing back first one try by Jake Oliver with a second try just before half time by Connor Bell.
Ivel came into the second half with determination and an excellent fighting spirit. They began to pass the ball with accuracy and made headway against an equally determined Warminster side. Ivel knuckled down with some excellent play gaining a third try by Duncan Sowerby, which was converted by Luke Harker. The final try came from a deserved Daniel Luck who played particularly well throughout the whole match. The game ended with a final score of Ivel 22, Warminster 12.
As Warminster were short of players Ivel lent them two players – a big THANK YOU goes to those Ivel players who very sportingly played for the opposition – first half; Tom Pearce, James Woodward. Second half; Daniel Finn and Joshua Mountain.
Man of the Match was awarded to Connor Bell for his sheer hard work and determination throughout the whole game. |
