Ivel travelled to Frome with 20 players expecting a hard encounter.
Ivel let the opposition score a try and convertion with in 5 minutes. Both packs due to the weather were keeping a lot of the ball. Ivel pressed hard and from a 5 metre scrum Number 8 Chester picked up and crashed over, converted by Frazor. Ivel gave away a lot of penalties for the rest of the fist half. Frome scored again due to missed tackles and converted. In the last play of the half the backs spun the ball down the line and Jake ran in from half way, converted by frazer.
Ivel started better in the second half and put Frome on the back foot and scored another try from a 5 metre scrum, again scored by Chester, converted by Frazer. We were down to 14 men as one was sin binned for playing the ball on floor but everyone dug deep to keep Frome from scoring. After 2 minutes of being up to a full team we had another man sin binned, this time we could not hold on and Frome scored and converted 21-21 with ten minutes to go. With the penalty count against us getting worse with every play we dug in and were awarded a penalty of our own ten metres out. Chester again picked up from the back of the scrum and crashed over, converted by Frazer and the final whistle went.
Ivel 28-21 Frome.Well played everyone.
