Ivel Barbarians 92   vs   Ellingham & Ringwood II 15

Ivel moved to fourth in the table with an emphatic win over Ellingham &Ringwood 2XV.  

Coming off the back of a good win two weeks ago, Ivel carried their confidence into this game. Ivel on their first attack would get the ball to fullback and debutant for the home side Sean Houghton who would outpace the opposition and touchdown for the first try of he game.

Ivel were soon taking control of the game but ill discipline around the breakdown would ease the pressure for the away side. But soon Ivel started to stretch Ringwoods defence and were scoring what seemed every other attack. Sean Houghton took his tally to three for the day, whilst Matt Corrigan and Jas Dunn also both powered over the line.

Ringwoods only consolation was a late penalty to get them off the mark.

The second half started and Ringwood were the first to score. Any thoughts of a fight back were soon put to rest. Ivel like the first half played with great confidence and were scoring at free will. Dan Mcfarlane scoring three, Pete Rose and Paul Mortenson both touching down twice along with Andrew cook and Alex Mcguinn who also had a good day with his kicking.
