After a slow start to the season last week, Ivel U10's were on a mission taking 2nd Place in the Midsomer Norton Tournament, it started with the Home team Midsomer Norton. We got off to a slow start and MSN drew first blood within 30 seconds of the match. We equalised shortly afterwards, found our stride and took the lead 2-1, unfortunately the home side were feeling confident and squeezed a another try in before the end, First Game drawn at 2-2.

Having woken up, Ivel set off in a different mood against Chew Valley, a try from the start seen the boys lift their heads, the backs found their stride, Joshua, Daniel and James soon looked like Tuilagi and Banahan as they charged through the field to gain ground, with the team now flowing the wings came into play with Jack B, Cameron and Harry making the most of the pitch.  Final score was a win 4-2.

The next match was against a formidable adversary in the form of Walcot, evenly matched both teams took to slogging in out, we took the lead as the matched turned into a lots of scrum aging.  Our forwards stood up to the challenge with 'Big' Ryan, Edward 'The Boomeister' and Jack 'JK' running the Walcot's pack into the Car Park.  Walcott fought back but were overpowered and out played and Ivel took another win 2-1.

Next were Frome and with Ivel now stepping up a gear, this game seen everyone playing together, our big forwards driving through every scrum and the backs passing with confidence and accuracy.  Ivel in command every step of this game, Archie and Samuel got more involved as Ivel attacked taking a win 4-1.

Warminster were Ivel's next opponents and started off sprightly and with intent, this was short lived as Ivel took command once again with James, Harry and Daniel commanding the centre of the pitch allowing Cameron, Jack B, Samuel and Archie to use the room on the wing and soon the tries came.
