Just like to thank all the parents for their continued support and effort in making their kids available for the games.

After carrying out some pre-game training, confidence was high, Ivel was ready to get their first home win of the season.

What a couple of fantastic games, Ivel come out of the blocks totally on fire and determined to make amends for all their mistakes in previous games.  Both games were played at a furious pace, great running from Jack, Neo & Matt; support play from everybody was absolutely brilliant.

The determination and confidence from the players carried on throughout the whole game. Brilliant tackling from Jay, George, Kyle and some try saving tackles from Thomas managed to keep Bridport at bay.

The first game went to and fro, with great play from both teams, but with tries coming from both teams the score board kept ticking over, Ivel finally grabbing the win with a great overall team effort.

The second game was a repeat of the first, a totally brilliant all round game, great running, passing, tackling, support play. The only reason they scored was some silly missed tackles.

Man of the Match this week went to David, for his confidence in organising the defence and overall good all-round play.

Well done to all players, it was totally brilliant, let’s keep up the momentum and take these two wins into our next game away to Tor / Chard.

Areas to work on:

     Tackling, must go low and be committed to the tackle

     Communication, they won’t pass to you if you don’t tell them that you’re there.

     Fantastic running, but use the supporting players.
