Just like to thank all the parents like I do every week for their continued support and commitment in bringing their kids to each game.

With Alistair as captain and some good pre-match training we had a very good squad up against a very strong Chard side. Both games were played at a tremendous pace, with great passagesof play coming from both teams. Chard with some very strong mauling kept the ball moving and took control of the centre of the pitch, this allowed them to peel away on a number of occasions and using there fast runners score, Ivel had their own attacks, with great running from Jack, Rocco & Neo, the ball being kept alive and passed a lot more by the support players making themselves available, this allowing Jack & Neo to score. The tackling today was ferocious; everybody putting their bodies on the line, there was some brilliant try saving tackles by Neo and George.

Overall guys these two games are the best we’ve played all season, we didn’t get the win that we wanted, but we are starting to work as a team, great passing, rucking, mauling and ripping the ball. A very well done to everybody, it was great to watch.

Man of the Match this week goes to Rocco, for his overall great game and for his continuous motivation with in the team and for never letting his head go down when the team was on the back foot. Well done.

Areas to work on:

• Communication, still very quiet on the pitch. You must talk to each other.
• Still bunching in defence, we need to keep a flat line.
• Commitment in the tackle area, go low.
• Must be strong in the ruck & maul areas.
• Keep the ball alive with good passing & support play.

Next week our last training session before the Xmas break, let’s have a god turn out and have a fun session.
